BOARD AND TRAIN PROGRAMS – Have you ever sent your child to Summer camp or sports camp? Did they learn new skills because they were immersed in the training and education every day? Did you miss each other but survived the separation?
At K9 Connections we offer Board and Train programs, where your dog would stay with us for a specific period while we work on their training. After their program is done you come in for our discharge program to learn how to continue working with your dog. We transfer the skills, methods and education to you during discharge. We also offer 2-4 follow sessions depending on the program to help you maintain the training.

PRIVATE 1-1 TRAINING PROGRAMS – Are you looking to put in the time and effort to work with your dog every day, but not sure where to start?
With our 1-1 programs we meet with clients once a week for 60-90mins sessions. After each session, we leave the clients with clear direction on what they need to work on and how they achieve results. Sessions take place at the training center and our client’s homes. The success of these programs will depend on how much you put into them. Sometimes results take longer but as long as you are willing to do the work it can be very rewarding.

OVERNIGHT BOARDING FOR OUR CLIENTS – Need a place you TRUST for your dog while you go away?
At K9 Connections we offer overnight boarding services to our clients ONLY. We already have a relationship with you and your dog. You both know the facility and we can support any training they are currently working on. Because we are a small facility, please make reservations well in advance.

INUKSHUK DOG FOOD – MARINE 16 – Finally a dog food we believe in!
Having seven (7) dogs of our own, various breeds, ages and sizes we were always looking for food that could work for all of them, that had quality ingredients, and didn’t put us in the poor house. Ever since we have been feeding Inuksuk Marine 16 our pack couldn’t be happier. Our dogs have very few health problems, they have shiny coats, they eat less of it, and they are “regular”.
We are lucky to be a distributor of this dog food and many of our clients are enjoying the benefits as well.

Due to some dogs being carriers of certain transferable infectious illnesses, and to protect all dogs in our care, we require all dog owners to follow this updated protocol:

• Completed series of all standard vaccines and current boosters.

• Up-to-date rabies vaccine.

• Recent de-worming.

• Ongoing monthly flea and tick prevention.

• Vaccine for bordetella bacterium (kennel cough) or up-to-date booster with documentation for both.

Please bring or send us copies of all immunization records, flea & tick management and any medical requirements.

PLEASE NOTE! Female dogs in heat are not allowed in the training facility, usually a minimum of 21 days. No exceptions. If your female dog begins a heat cycle during her program she will be sent home and her program will be rescheduled.

Yes! Our programs are designed to build reliable recall and obedience, both on and off-leash.

An “E-Collar” is an effective and humane dog training tool that uses the same technology as a TENS device. You may have used one of these devices if you have been to physical therapy or a chiropractor. While these collars look similar to a classic shock collar, the e-collar is NOT A SHOCK COLLAR and is applied in training very differently.

The E-collar has been designed to be a communication device in training, just like the leash. Think of it as a Bluetooth leash! The stimulation sensation can be described as a “tickle” and is taught to mean the same as a tug on the leash or a tap on the shoulder. This tool is intended to get your dog’s attention, NOT AS A PUNISHMENT. Dogs love their E-Collar just like they do their leash!
