My dog, Duchess, stayed at K9connections. They helped her to become a more manageable relaxed and friendly dog with their handling and training program. They have given me confidence in how to handle an anxious and aggressive dog. Dutchess with her training is now a well-behaved dog. She is happier, I am thrilled of the outcome. Sidney is a Bernadoodle who is very insecure and as a result could be very unpredictable. Sidney loves his forest walks and cuddles. The training we did with Rob and Robin was private training to build Sidney’s confidence. We worked on controlling his behaviour on walks altering his attention from dogs he feels threatened by and his manners when greeting people at the door. What we valued most from the training is being aware of Sidney’s cues before the negative behaviour happens. Rob and Robin are amazing! Robin and Rob have been amazing helping us with our Cattle Dog puppy. From the day we brought Parker home they were a phone call away offering brand new puppy parents’ advice. K9 Connections is an amazing team of professionals! I cannot say enough good things! We did the Puppy Training program with our Goldendoodle Jasper and Rob and Robin were amazing educators! Their program is a one-on-one program and they came to our home to teach us all about training our puppy with everything from bathroom training, how to do tricks and even successful walking techniques. Our family really meshed well with Rob and Robin and we took their classes seriously and had fun with them each week too! In February of 2022, we trusted K9 Connections Inc. with our 2-year-old Poodle/Sheltie/Retriever mix, Max. Max stayed with Robin and Rob for a month in what we called Doggie Boarding School. While we missed Max while she was away, we knew that we would be getting a better behaved and well-trained dog back. When we picked Max up, Robin and Rob spent a lot of time with us going over everything that Max had learned and taught us how to continue with her training. What was very important and very helpful was the follow up. Robin and Rob came to our house a couple of times to test some of the training. We dropped off our two rescue “twins” to Robin, Rob and Kayla with zero skills but a huge load of anxiety. Mia and Kasper didn’t know their names, how to walk on a leash or understand boundaries. Mia’s anxiety left her very submissive while Kasper struggled with focus. When we picked them up after their board and train program, they were two different pooches with confidence and manners! Rob, Robin and Kayla “trained” us to bring out the best in them. Rob & Robin (& Kayla) are the most amazing people. They took my sweet girl from a scared, reactive, anxious and unmanageable dog to an obedient, calm, relaxed and enjoyable dog, in a matter of weeks. We cannot say enough positive things about K9 Connections Inc. We started our journey with K9 Connections when we rescued another dog (Dash) from a Southern state. He was a sweet boy but very stubborn, and his play style was max speed and max contact. That energy was too much for our other dog, Shiloh. We sought assistance from Rob and Robin and decided to proceed with 3 private sessions to help with leash skills to strengthen their pack bond and improve our leadership skills. That alone was a game changer. Dash began to engage with us more and became manageable on our walks (no more arms being hurt each time he wanted to sniff something or saw a squirrel). Though, we were happy with how our dogs were now walking together, our home and yard were still chaotic at times. Dash constantly tried to engage in play with Shiloh, but Shiloh was intimidated by the way Dash played, so she would feel she needed to defend herself. This brought us back to K9 Connections and by way of discussion (no pressure placed on us at all) we decided that Dash would benefit from a board and train program. WOW! What a difference that program was for our family. Not only did Dash receive intensive training and engagement, but we were trained too. We quickly learned that though Dash may have been too much for us, we weren’t enough for him. Dash needed more boundaries than Shiloh did. Dash needed a stronger leader than Shiloh did. Dash needed more from us to help him manage his impulses. We were part of the problem, and once we learned that, our home became a place where Dash could flourish. Fast forward to today, Dash and Shiloh co-exist beautifully in our home together, they play respectfully in our yard, and they even snuggle together as they chase sun spots around the room (provided they are close to Dash’s place/bed). Thank you to all of the team at K9 Connections Inc., for helping us all learn what it takes to lead and love two very different dogs. Training dogs isn’t a one-size fits all approach – each dog is unique, just like people.

We were not “dog people” and Leo was our first dog. We knew that we (not the puppy) needed to be trained. We did private sessions with Rob and Robin and to this date I swear it was the best investment we made for our Goldendoodle and our family. He is the best , most well-behaved boy. He is 3 years old now and everyone is in awe with how good he is. He walks at a heel, doesn’t beg, he won’t touch food that has fallen on the floor without permission. Thank you, Rob & Robin, for teaching us how to be consistent as a family so that we can train Leo to behave as well as he does.

Our time spent with Rob and Robin in our 6-session private e-collar training changed our lives! Right from our intake interview, it was obvious we were a huge part of the problem with our reactive husky, Tilly. But Rob and Robin never made us feel guilty about it; they worked with us on how to use tools and techniques to establish expectations and consistently maintain them. Our confidence grew helping Tilly to correct her behaviour until we were all happy. Prior to training, we could barely go on our walks in our community or spend time in our yard. This training has completely transformed our dog and how we interact with her. Rob and Robin were always patient, professional, helpful, and never hesitated to answer questions or offer suggestions. They often threw in humour to keep things light. We can’t thank them enough for supporting us and Tilly. We absolutely recommend K9 Connections!

Robin and Rob are very knowledgeable and compassionate dog (and human) trainers! They helped me build a consistent recall with my dog Jackson.
